Description (physical)

Bronze statue mounted on an irregular hexagonal stone plinth: lifesize naturalistic portrait of a teenage girl sitting cross-legged in dungarees molding a ball of clay

Description (iconographical)

Affectionate portrait of the artist's daughter. The ball of clay is a reference to pottery. When Tam attended the unveiling the spectators were amused that her punk image bore little resemblance to that projected in the sculpture.
