Inscriptions On plaque on base : BIG HEAD By the HEARTS OF OAK ORGANISATION (HOO), 2003. This sculpture is part of the Oak Sculpture Trail, a project commissioned and funded by Mid Suffolk District Council’s Arts Development Service working in conjunction with artists Ray Brooks and Ben Platt-Mills and the local community. Additional funding for this project came from Suffolk County Council, The European community Fund and The Upper Waveney Valley Countryside Project. 

Description (physical)

Colossal fantasy head carved from a tree trunk and set besides the B1077, to the south of Eye Castle, to mark a footpath across fields with the River Dove in the background 

Description (iconographical)

The head relates to the primitivism of the Hoxne Man but is more amusing
